James
and Charles talk about
Blog World Expo that ran on
Sept 20 and 21 in Las Vegas. The conference
was not as well attended as expected as the
financial crisis has hit harder than expected.
Blog World was a large event that addressed
some of the confusion surrounding the use of
blogs for business and affiliate marketing.
Monetizing a blog was a feature at Blog World.
A blog is basically a way for an individual
with an opinion to get it on line. Once upon
a time publishing was limited to the wealthy
few. With the Internet anyone who wants to publish
(whether their opinions or articles) can do
so with relatively little money. James and Charles
talk a little bit about Arlene’s site
and the
SUPER BootCamp.
The bootcamp format is productive for many
because there is a program with a set deadline.
There are advantages to working in a group that
allows newcomers to benefit from the experience
of other webmasters. James and Charles talk
about the backgrounds of people who take the
training with James. Any Buzz listener who wants
to take the BootCamp must use the link in this
description to get a discount of $147. The first
4 weeks are no charge. James will be off to
a
ShareaSale event in San Diego. ShareaSale
represents about 2200 merchants. The event features
60 top performing affiliates and 10 merchants
to a Think Tank that allows the affiliates to
critique the merchant’s sites.
